Children’s House (Nursery School)
Enrollment at Montessori’s Cool involves a two-way choice: the choice by parents of the Montessori school and teaching method, and the school’s choice of child and his or her family. This two-way choice is important and involves collaboration between families and the teaching staff for optimal educational consistency.
Admission to Children’s House usually takes place in a child’s third year, at the beginning of the school year. For the first year, a child may enroll on a part-time basis, mornings only. Only children from another Montessori school are admitted during the year, without exception. It is important to consider the three years a child spends at Children’s House as a full cycle.
Elementary Class
Enrollment in the Elementary Class is part of a continuous process within the educational cycle. With a child who has grown up in a Montessori environment since the age of 3, it is only natural to expand his or her knowledge within a group of mixed age children, in a suitable environment and with the help of material that is an extension of the material used with 3 to 6 year-olds.
Admission to the Elementary Class usually takes place in a child’s sixth year at the beginning of the school year. Only children from another Montessori school are admitted during the year, without exception.
