The Enrollment Process
Enrollment at Montessori’s Cool involves a dual selection process: Parents choose the school and the Montessori pedagogy and the school selects the child and their family.
This dual choice is important and requires collaboration between families and the teaching team to ensure better educational consistency.
Entry into the Children’s House generally occurs during the child’s third year, at the beginning of the cycle.
In the first year, children may be enrolled part-time, attending only in the morning. Except in special cases, only children coming from another Montessori school are accepted mid-cycle. It is important to view the three years a child spends in the Children’s House as a complete cycle.
Enrollment in the elementary class is a continuation of the educational approach.
For a child who has grown up in a Montessori environment since the age of 3, it is natural to deepen their knowledge within a mixed-age group, in a suitable environment, and with materials that extend the 3–6 years’ materials.
The transition to the elementary class generally occurs during the child’s sixth year, at the beginning of the cycle. Except in special cases, only children coming from another Montessori school are accepted mid-cycle.
